Clinical Supervision

Empowering and Effective Guidance for Associate Clinicians

In-Person supervision in Wenatchee, WA | Online supervision throughout Washington

The time between graduation and receiving your license is unique in your career as a therapist.

It’s an opportunity to expand your clinical skills, develop your identity as a therapist, and deepen your confidence that you can do this powerful work.

The supervision you receive at this time is important, not just for making sure you’re ‘doing it right,’ but for providing a safe, supportive foundation as you settle in to this role of therapist.

As your clinical supervisor, I want to support your growth by:

  • Developing your unique clinical presence and sense of self as a therapist.

  • Providing gentle yet effective feedback to strengthen your skills as a clinician.

  • Supporting your ability to identify areas for future learning and development.

  • Ensuring requirements are met for licensure and ethical practice.

  • Offering guidance on building a practice that is financially and energetically sustainable.

I work with supervisees who:

  • Are interested in specializing in trauma therapy, particularly relational & developmental trauma.

  • Seek to offer depth-oriented psychotherapy.

  • Desire more than a ‘check the box’ approach to clinical supervision.

  • Want to create a rewarding and profitable therapy practice.

  • Are working towards licensure in Washington state.

About Me

Throughout my career I’ve been fortunate to work with incredible supervisors. Supervisors who helped me figure out my gifts, who allowed me to be vulnerable, and who created a nurturing environment for me to try, mess up, and keep growing. It’s an honor to offer that support and guidance to my supervisees.

I’ve been a psychotherapist since 2016 and have practiced in a number of settings, including group practice, a domestic violence nonprofit, primary care clinics, and for the last five years in my own practice.

Specialties

  • Relational, developmental, and attachment trauma

  • Domestic violence

  • Narcissistic abuse

  • Psychodynamic and relational psychoanalytic theory and practice

  • Compassion-focused therapy

Many clinicians have questions about Clinical Supervision before getting started.

Here are some of the most common questions I hear from associate clinicians before we begin working together:

  • I hold an LICSW license (LW61197784), which allows me to supervise LICSWA, LMHCA, LMFTA (up to 100 hours), LASWA licensure candidates.

  • There are a few areas of practice that I feel unable to supervise due to my lack of experience in those fields. These include child and adolescent therapy, addiction treatment, couples therapy, OCD treatment.

If these areas are the main focus of your practice and you’d still like to work together, we can do so through Consultation. Please reach out to me for more information.

  • We will determine frequency of appointments during your first supervision appointments. Frequency depends on how many clients you see (more clients = more frequent supervision) and personal preference.

  • I am only able to provide supervision to Washington clinicians. If you’re interested in connecting and practice in another state, we can do so through Consultation. Reach out to me for more information.
